Resumo: The Screen to Self: Exploring Social Media's Impact on Young Adults' Well-being youth exchange is designed using a variety of non-formal learning methods, active participation, and intercultural exchange. The project consists of several key elements to ensure a dynamic, engaging, and impactful experience for participants.
1. Workshops & Group Discussions
Participants engage in interactive workshops and discussions focused on the impact of social media on mental and physical well-being.
Using non-formal learning methods like role-playing, debates, and creative brainstorming, they reflect on their own experiences, challenge perspectives, and develop healthier digital habits.
2. Social Media Detox Day
A highlight of the program is the Social Media Detox Day, where participants disconnect from digital devices for 24 hours. Instead, they engage in physical activities, mindfulness exercises, and face-to-face interactions, discovering the benefits of being truly present. This experience allows them to explore alternative ways to engage with the world around them without digital distractions.
3. Physical & Outdoor Activities
Recognizing the connection between movement and mental well-being, the program incorporates active workshops, such as a nature scavenger hunt, yoga & mindfulness sessions, and team-building exercises. These activities provide participants with practical tools to reduce sedentary behavior and incorporate movement into their daily routines.
4. Creative Awareness Campaigns
To make a lasting impact, participants create awareness materials such as fliers and posters about the effects of social media on well-being. These are later distributed in local youth centers and schools, ensuring that the project reaches a broader audience and leaves a lasting legacy.
5. Cultural Exchange & Intercultural Learning
The program fosters intercultural understanding by bringing together young people from different backgrounds. Through intercultural evenings, storytelling activities, and shared meals, participants celebrate diversity, build friendships, and expand their worldviews.
6. Youthpass & Reflection
Throughout the exchange, participants track their personal growth using the Youthpass, a tool that helps them identify and recognize the skills they develop. Daily reflection circles and learning evaluations allow participants to document their experiences and assess their progress.
7. Dissemination & Follow-Up Actions
The project encourages participants to share their experiences and knowledge with their home communities after the exchange. Through social media, local events, and community engagement, they become ambassadors for digital well-being and healthier online habits.

Special Considerations
Descrição: Screen to Self: Exploring Social Media's Impact on Young Adults'Well-being is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange that brings together young people from different countries to explore the impact of social media on mental and physical health. In today's digital world, social media plays a huge role in how we communicate, learn, and engage with the world. However, excessive use can lead to anxiety, stress, sleep disturbances, and a lack of physical activity.
During this interactive and engaging youth exchange, participants will take part in workshops, discussions, and outdoor activities, learning how to achieve a healthy balance between online and offline life. A highlight of the project is the Social Media Detox Day, where partici-pants disconnect from digital devices and engage
in mindfulness, movement, and real-life interactions.
Through non-formal learning methods, participants will reflect on their own social media habits, gain new skills to promote well-being, and create awareness campaigns to share their learning with their communities. This project is more than just a youth exchange—it’s an opportunity to disconnect to reconnect with ourselves, each other, and the world around us.
