Resumo: During a youth exchange, youngsters organise a series of activities (e.g. workshops, debates, simulation games, outdoor activities, etc.) around a theme of common interest.
The project can cover a wide range of areas: the fight against exclusion, racism and xenophobia, art and culture, the environment, heritage protection, media and youth information, health, solidarity economy, sport, etc.
Objectivos: Develop the consciousness of the participants about their way of consumpution and their environmental , economical and social impact.
Build a shared culture about responsible consumption.
Discover practices and ways to consume, in a more responsible way and act for a better environment.
Alojamento: The participants will be hosted in a typical regional house renovated during an international workcamp. Since 1995, «La Maison des Bateleurs» has been a hosting center for international volunteers. The organization welcomes a round 8 volunteers per year so the participants will have the opportunity to spend time, live and share collective life with them. The participants will be accomodated in 2 dormitories with bunk beds. There is a common bathroom with showers and toilets. The group will be autonomous. The menu, cooking time and cleaning activities will be organise all together.
Perfil: This youth exchange will gather 20 youth from 4 different countries. Each partner organization should send 4 participants from 18 to 30 years old and 1 group leader.
Descrição: This project, which is a continuation of the Let's become eco-citizens project of August 2023, focuses on eco-citizenship and sustainable development. We want toexchange and discover with participants from different cultures
ecological practices to improve our impact on the planet. We believe that the world of tomorrow will be built by citizens' initiatives. The objective is to discover and propose, with you, alternatives to adopt fairer and more sustainable lifestyles for the planet and to become an actor and actress in raising awareness of an eco-citizen approach.
For two weeks you will meet through brainstorming workshops, workshops to discover permaculture in the educational garden, workshops to create eco-sustainable products or even visits to eco-places. The objective is to co-construct a common vision of eco-citizenship which will be illustrated by the communication tool of your choice and which will be used as support during an eco-citizenship event. 4 to 6 hours of work site per day.
Material Necessário: what to bring:
● Good working shoes, gloves and clothes
● Rain clothes and warm clothes
● Work clothes that can get dirty and/or damaged
● Sun cream, laundry detergent
● Music instruments, games, recipes, pictures, postcards from your region
● A swimsuit (swimming trunks as shorts may be prohibited in swimming pools)
You will also need to bring: sleeping bag, towel and linens, your European health insurance card, everything you need for your personal comfort.
