Objectivos: ● Reflect with the participants on some of the problems related to anxiety and loneliness nowadays (Lack of psychological support, hardships in post-Covid human relationships, instability of the socioeconomic environment, eco-anxiety, job and housing insecurity);
● Build an intercultural experience from the topics of community and solidarity (including examples of community life and forms of supportive solidarity sat in the area);
● Allow the participants to live a group experience in a place engaged in education, community and hospitality;
● Educate young people to search for healthy and conscious well-being;
● Give tools and competencies to counter the effects of eco-anxiety and to satisfy the search for alternative practices that are sustainable and practicable in everyday life;
● Increase participants' educational background on the conception, formulation, and design of active and policy proposals from the emergence and identification of their needs;
● Make young people active in the change process starting from the families and communities they belong to.
Non-formal education methodologies will be used during the mobility to address the following main streams
of issues:
1. Psycho-physical well-being of young people
We often tend to focus only on the health of our bodies without taking into consideration all the elements that contribute to a person's identity and well-being. For this reason, collective reflection surfacing sessions and meditation, relaxation and sharing modules will be dedicated during the exchange.
2. The environmental crisis and eco-anxiety
In our work in contact with young people, we have highlighted how the rapid change and intensification of climate emergency increasingly impact mental health and psychological well-being, increasing stress, anxiety, depression and suicide risk. Therefore, we decided to tackle the topic in the round, educating ourselves and deepening it not only in terms of content but also by sharing the most intimate consequences of a generation facing the most severe effects of the environmental crisis.
3. Job and housing insecurity and anxiety about an unstable future
Alongside the analysis of mental well-being, we will have the opportunity to delve into the theme of precariousness and search together for good practices and standard tools to counter the effects of economic and housing instability in our own daily lives, which weight especially on the younger generations; in this regard, we will have the opportunity to meet concrete examples of community life, cohabitation and still forms of solidarity present in our territory.
Participants will get training on the topics of conceiving, designing and implementing public proposals on the
issues explored in the first few days of mobility; following this module, they will get to experience building real project proposals or public policy as the final project output. The outcomes may be an opportunity for participants to continue to engage with the issues they discovered and raise awareness in their home communities.
Alojamento: You will stay in the property confiscated from the mafia CascinaCaccia located on the top of the hill of San Sebastiano da Po a few kilometers from Turin and completely surrounded by nature.
