Objectivos: - increase the quality of youth work by showing a new, more participatory approach
- increase the aggregation, group participation and expression of young people, increasingly influenced by social media
- encourage organizations to set up their participatory web radio
- improve outside communication of partner organizations
- facilitate aggregation of peers based on shared interests
- contribute to the sense of entrepreneurship and creativity of young people; support youth to influence their society, making them protagonists of change
YOUTH ON AIR intends to empower young people, increase their social engagement, contribute to life-long learning and self-establishment of young people.
YOUTH ON AIR provides space for exchanging experiences between the partners and discovering new approaches based on IT tools. The participants will learn how to create web radio shows by exploiting the potential of non-formal education (simulations, group approach, collaborative approach, role play, horizontal learning, team building games, learning challenges, etc.) and producing joint intellectual outputs, such as programs, jingles, sketches, etc.
This project gives the opportunity to develop new project ideas and future web radio initiatives.
YOUTH ON AIR contributes to reducing the intergenerational gap between two worlds - youth workers (or adults in general) and young people. It promotes cooperation between those worlds for a better society. Thanks to the project, young people can prove they can take different roles in society: entrepreneurs, journalists, the voices of their generation.
Alojamento: Accommodation
The Castle is the designated accommodation for all AUM volunteers and participants, and its location is conveniently close to the citadel, the city center and the office and workspaces. It features a total of 9 bedrooms, 2, 3 and 4 occupancy, each equipped with a private bathroom for added privacy and comfort. The kitchen will be used only for breakfast and the common area will be used for eating and some activities. The big garden around The Castle will be waiting for you!
FOOD
Will be provided 3 meals per day and 2 coffee breaks. In order to address your specific needs (food allergies, medical treatments, diets such as vegetarian, vegan etc.), we will create a registration form which you will
fill in AFTER the selection process. In case you will not mention your special dietary need in the application form, we will not be able to guarantee that it will be taken into consideration by the restaurants where we will serve some meals or the catering company.

Descrição: The Project YOUTH ON AIR is a training course for youth workers about the web radio method as a form of increasing active participation of young people, encouraging their self-development and promoting their influence on the media and the community.
Young people express a high potential in terms of creativity and enthusiasm, but often societies in which they live - especially in Europe - don't give them space for their self-expression and don't provide them with skills, motivation and support. A reflection of this attitude towards young people is their underrepresentation in media, especially the mass media such as TV and journals. What brings young people out of the marginalization is the Internet, where, unfortunately, fake news and hate speech are a negative influence. Hence, this project wants to suggest a solution to both issues: the lack of space for young people in society and the risks of mass media when consumed passively and without critical thinking. This project gives the possibility to youth workers to gain skills in setting up a web radio and establishing a cooperation with young people, leaving them the freedom of choice about contents and topics This way, young people get the chance to be more visible in society.
YOUTH ON AIR promotes competences useful in youth work by giving youth workers innovative tools and methods to support their target groups.
