Alojamento: The participants will be accommodated in hotel Kristal in Ruse. The hotel is located in a historical city center of the city, close to museums, shops, bars etc.
The food will be in restaurant, but we would like to have intercultural impact, so we will try to do our best and offer you to taste traditional Bulgarian meals

Perfil: youth workers who are newcomers to this field/profession OR experienced youth workers. The participants have to be over 18 years old. It will be better if you can send people who don’t have experience in
youth work or have a little experience. Of course we will welcome experienced participants too so that they can share their knowledge with the group

Descrição: The project The good youth worker = Successful young people is a training activity for youth workers, coordinators and representatives of youth organizations from different European countries.
The main objective of the project is to support the professional development of youth workers by enabling them to acquire knowledge and skills related to:
- traditions and quality standards in youth work in participating countries and at European level, as well as their current status and development;
- support and opportunities existing at national and international level and ways to apply and participate in them;
- today's role of the youth worker in the youth work process;
- improving quality in project management for youth work;
- youth work through the use of digital technologies.
The youth workers inside our organisations need opportunities for exchanging experience with their colleagues, bring new knowledge and skills into youth work and learn how to make an objective self-assessment and effective planning of their work as youth workers.
The project will have a positive influence on the enrichment of the methods of youth work they have, on their knowledge of the profession of youth workers, the ways of assessing their competencies and planning their future development.

Some of the topics in the programme are:
- Background and Principles of youth work
- Council of Europe and youth work
- Digital youth work
- Project management
- Working with young people with fewer opportunities
- Practical part
– how can I develop as a youth worker?
- Good practices in youth work
- Support and opportunities at national and European level in the youth field; European and National funding Programmes

Material Necessário: WHAT TO PREPARE BEFORE THE TRAINING:
1. We are planning one intercultural night where every country will have 10 minutes for presentations. Please bring some food or drinks from your national cuisine (not much). Don’t bring anything that needs to be cooked. Think how to present your culture and country in the best creative way?

2. Leaflets, posters, brochures, and other materials presenting your organization if you have.

3. Brochures, movies and other materials presenting youth work in your organization.

4. As a small homework project, please make a research and team discussions with colleagues from your organization and collect information about youth work in your country (i.e. is it officially recognized, do you have special national youth programmes etc, do you have special programe or course for improvement of the work of youth workers?). We will send you additional information about this task later on.
