Alojamento: The participants will be hosted at the San Gil’s Hostel, which includes training rooms, living/dining rooms, garden and sporting area.
Each room includes: 6 beds, air conditioning, bathroom, small private cupboards.
Perfil: 6 youngsters: people from 18 to 30 years old, high motivated, who are or have been volunteers in their local community and/or in the European Union (European Voluntary Service, European solidarity Corps, international work camps…). Basic knowledge of English would be appreciated, but it’s not compulsory.
2 group leaders: people +18 years old, who are or have been tutors and/or coordinators of volunteering activities, who are or have been volunteers as well, with leadership’s experience, responsibles and with communicational skills
Descrição: “My world after volunteering” is a youth exchange focused on the importance of being volunteer in our society.
Nowadays social exclusion of people with fewer opportunities (disabled people, old people, homeless people…), environment pollution and low political/social participation of the youngsters are still ones of the biggest problems that European Union has to deal with.
By the way, some youngsters are more and more interested in participating actively in their social reality, wanting to help other people, they also realized how important it is to be an active citizen regarding with the environment’s protection and valorization. The project will give them voice: they will have the opportunity to talk and share their experiences about their volunteering commitment, to create a volunteering network with other youngsters engaged in social isssues; also, they will be motivated to create a new volunteering project and to discover the tools ables to arouse other people’s curiosity about volunteering, inspiring them to become volunteers as well.
The project will take place in San Gil (10 km from Plasencia) from 20th to 27th of June 2019.
