Resumo: The project is a six day training course taking place in a small city of Trofaiach in Austria between 11 and 17th of December 2017. 33 youth workers from Turkey, Greece, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Poland and Lithuania will be sharing experience and good practices as well as developing, adapting, practicing and reflecting on workshops that would meet the needs of young refugees from Afghanistan.
Objectivos: - to develop together a tool youth workers could use when working with migrants and refugees;
- to empower young refugees as they are actively involved in the process of the toolkit developement;
- to enhance intercultural awareness and human rights awareness;
- to support the target group (UMR) in the integration process.
Alojamento: Schloss Stibichhofen is situated in the centre of Trofaiach, it has enough space indoor and outdoor allowing participants to enjoy their informal get together either outside or inside.
There are big rooms in two floors with about 10 beds in each room. On every floor there is a bathroom and toilets.
Perfil: Participants will be selected according to the level of their interest and their experience. I will share this application also as a public call for participants from your countries on Salto. I will discuss the selection of participants also with you so that in the case that someone gets selected and is not in your database, will still have to get in contact with you in order to fullfill whatever requirements you have. Please write me in advance if there is anything I should know.
Please do not forget that during this TC we will be working not just with any minors but with unaccompanied minor refugees.
Descrição: During the training course youth workers will be working closely together with a group of unaccompanied minor refugees when developing the toolkit in order to tailor it to the needs of young refugees (target group).
Participants will not only be working in groups discussing and discovering the theoretical frames and possible methods, but will have the opportunity to develop step-by-step workshops with different methods together, try them out with UMR and receive feedback from the target group. These workshops will be included in the toolkit.
The aim of the project is to develop better understanding for this young people, and provide youth workers with a toolkit including tailored workshops for the target group and advices on how to adapt workshops for the target group.
