Resumo: THEME and ACTIVITIES
Interest in the topic and activities of the project was delightful, as the first time applicants we have chosen international groups we would like to fulfill intentions and goals of the project successfully with them.. Each of the partners has a different view on the idea of the project. We would chain their ideas and imaginations with those of us and the result would be the final activities of the program. Together we would create a valuable event which would remain here also after the project finishes.
The topic of the project is the creation of activities mainly in the local quarry in Detva. It would be concretely creative, artistic interpretation of objects according to assignment and organization of the particular group. There will be discussions and activities to get to know other cultures, collective sports in the local sports stadium with the goal of building a team and team spirit, and also activities in a forest with the goal to embellish and toclean it, to make attractive places where people would like to spend their free time.
Artistic expressions come out directly from the participants. They will be involved in each activity of the project. Group discussions will be directly targeted at evaluation of the activities, changing, and fine – tuning of the daily program. Predominant part of the activities is aimed at practical gaining pf skills (presentation, mutual communication and confrontation, development of speech, creative skills, and practical experience with organization of team work and natural open space).
Objectivos: TOPIC
The main topic of the youth exchange is the development of art and cultural diversity. Detva and Polana region culture and art have unique expression. The local citizens are engraved the relationship to culture and nature from their childhood. With our project we would like to show that one can spend time in nature by the form of artistic work through which people can find out something about the characters of other people as long as nowadays we meet with cultular diversity more and more often because of the opening of the Europian borders.
Members of the association work on projects of similar character such as information panel about renewable sources of energy infront pf Polana Region Museum. It is an imitation of a tree decorated by local motives and there are hanged banners describing renewable sources of energy and reasons of the needs of their use. With art to nature.
GOALS
The main goal of the youth exchange is mutual understanding of the cultural diversity when through breaking of barriers and prejudices one comes to understanding of various artistic expressions, we would like to support creativity realized in nature. Braking prejudice and anonimity, learning to percieve beauty of surrounding, forming one’s artistic exspression, learning different techniques of working with natural materials, creating artistic work, reinforce friendship, streghten team, building respect towards other cultures, supporting communication among people of different cultures, creating activities in nature by the form of team work, building openness to other cultures
PRIORITIES
Volunteering and and adjustment of the open space as a way of self – employment of young people
Respect diversity of cultures of EU countries
Team work in international groups as a support of communication and creativity of an individual

Citizens association for development of activities of the Town Detva “Active city” ”has been created in 2004 as an association connecting citizen and networking activities of people with real needs. It is mostly active cooperation of the citizens, subjects, and institutions to realize and support activities in the field of culture, sport, environment, social things, and hobbies, which are in unison with the needs and development of the town Detva.
The mission of the association is active cooperation of citizens, entities and institutions to implement and support activities in sport, culture, social and leisure time activities that are consistent with the needs and development of the city Detva.
Our scope of Youth in Action programme is in its infancy. We help with project -application form and resources for Detvianska alliance of Gypsies and their project “Youth iniciative”. Land art is our first project of Youth Exchange. With project we want to show possibilities of spending time in nature.

The Slovak Republic is a landlocked state in heart of Europe bordered by the Czech republic, Austria, Poland, Ukraine and Hungary. It has a population of over 5 million and an area of about 49 000 square kilometres.
Town Detva is situated in the middle of Slovakia. It is an important town with 15 thousand inhabitants on 68 km² area. Town lies in the valley created by brooks Detvianka and Slatina, full of nature and animals under the highest vulcano in the Middle Europe called Poľana.
