Resumo: This training course is built on the concept of eco-centric development, inspired from the Wheel of Life/Medicine Wheel concept. During the process we will explore and experience concepts such as holistic development, vulnerability, therapeutic practices, atmospheric games/activities, spirituality, connectedness, rituals and relations with nature.
Through this training we support the participants in exploring these concepts within the context of their personal and professional life. The practices which will be experienced during the course will be translated in educational tools, methods and activities to be used in the youth field, for the personal and professional development of young people.

Alojamento: Programme, accommodation, food and travel costs will be financed by the Erasmus+ grant. Each participant will contribute with 35€, amount deducted from the travelling costs.

Descrição: TOPICS OF THE COURSE

Eco-centric and holistic development – exploring and understanding the concept and elements of Wheel of Life (a contemporary concept based on the principles of Medicine Wheel – an element of Native American cultures).

Atmospheric activities – experiencing and understanding the pedagogy of atmospheric games and activities which can be used to address important personal topics.

Vulnerability and therapeutic practices – working with limitations and expectations (personal, social groups), finding strengths and qualities, being open.

Connectedness and nature – connecting with yourself, nature, other people, the outside world (deep ecology).

Spirituality – secret-sacred things, sharing experiences, human spirituality in different cultural backgrounds.



TRAINING OBJECTIVES

1) To create a space for learning and sharing about deeper aspects of human development in general and in specific youth development, connected with concepts such as nature, vulnerability, spirituality, leading to well-being and empowerment of youth.
2) To experience non-formal education and experiential learning methods and tools connected with the topics of the course and provide a frame of transferability for using the methods in specific professional environments connected with youth work.
3) To contribute to the development of personal visions of the participants and increasing their motivation to act as responsible members of the world wide community for protecting the Earth and supporting authentic youth development.
4) To give the opportunity to improve the experienced methods and develop together new experiential and non-formal educational activities on the topics of the training for sustainability and continuity of the project.
