Resumo: Youth Exchange "Think Create and be Active Recycler" is a project that involves creative recylcing workshops, local actions, sharing practices and connects the topics of sustainability, ecology and leadership. The Youth Exchange aims to encourage young people to take active role in the environmental issues in their communities.

Objectivos: The goal is to promote sustainability through providing them with knowledge about sustainability and understanding it as a core value, and to promote recycling habits through sharing practices between the EU and non-EU countries.

Alojamento: During the Exchange, the participants will be accommodated in a hostel in Struga, a tourist town on the cost of beautiful Ohrid Lake.
The hostel where the youth exchange will take place is located in the Ezerski Lozja district which is a few km far from the centre of Sturga.
Struga is town located about 170 km south from the capital city of Macedonia, Skopje. Daily buses go to Struga from Skopje, but also from Belgrade and Sofia. The best way to arrive is by plane, train or bus to Skopje and then take the bus to Struga

Perfil: Each country participates with a group of 5 young people (18-25 years old) and 1 group leader (no age limit for group leaders).

Descrição: The Youth Exchange Think, Create, and be Active Recycler will gather 36 participants from Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Turkey,
Portugal and Romania, who will together spend 8 days in the city of Struga, Macedonia.
They will learn more about the ecological issues and will try to find creative solutions for them.
This project connecting environment, education through outdoor activities and arts and culture will engage participants in non-formal activities where they will have a chance to
learn more about sustainability and leadership in order to become agents for change to the environmental problems of their communities. Moreover, the participants will take
part in the outdoor activities in order to promote recycling habits, to be environmentally responsible and raise awareness about the ecological issues in the local community in the
city of Struga.
The participants will be involved in creative recycling workshops where they will have a chance to try to create handicrafts and give life out of waste. The final result of the creative recycling workshop will be shown in an event, where their creations will be exposed. At the end, the participants will use all the knowledge learned in the Youth Exchange and create a booklet about recycling and how to create handicrafts out of waste.

The agenda of the Youth Exchange will include several nights where you will have an opportunity to present your country in creative way and we encourage it to be with NO PowerPoint and video presentations, so think about it and bring materials which will help the presentation to be unique.
And your 10 day home task. Namely, each person should change 3 everyday habits for 10 days which will result in less waste. For example this can be using bikes instead public transport, using a same bag instead of buying plastic bags, turning off electricity, reusing papers, clothes, anything that will make less waste to your environment. So measure and keep track on the actions so you can present the result in the exchange, to illustrate this 10 days resulted in 40 km ride bike, 3 hours less light electricity, 5 plastic bags avoided and so on.

Material Necessário: In the exchange we will teach you how to make shopping bags out of old clothes. For this purpose please bring any old t-shirts that you were considering for throwing or giveaway.
May is a spring month, and spring weather can be very unpredictable. Make sure you have comfortable clothes for the recycling workshops and outdoor activities, since there will be
activities that will include collecting trash materials and work with them. Warm clothes, umbrella, slippers or shoes for indoors.

All that you need for intercultural activities such as
traditional clothes, souvenirs, drinks. Feel free to bring music instruments too.
