Resumo: Our project aims to show the importance of the mathematics to the youngsters. There won’t be any math lessons; there will be games which can play without math but get aware them how important it is. Also our project aims to improve the skills of the youngsters on logical thinking and creativity. Since our project is going to be a Youth Exchange project there will be intercultural learning activities, name games, team building activities, trips and visits at our daily programme.

Theme of our project is mathematics. By our activities we are going to see how easily we can use this theme in our daily life.

Eceabat, formerly Maydos (Madytos), is a town and district of Çanakkale Province in the Marmara region of Turkey, located on the eastern shore of the Gelibolu Peninsula, on the Dardanelles Strait. According to the 2010 census, population of the district is 9,154 of which 5,380 live in the town of Eceabat. The district covers an area of 468 km2 (181 sq mi), and the town lies at an elevation of 0 m (0 ft).
Eceabat is the nearest town to World War I Gallipoli Campaign battlefields of 1915, cemeteries and memorials to the more than 120,000 soldiers fallen from Turkey, the United Kingdom, France, Australia and New Zealand. The name Eceabat could be originated from the Arabic military word "Hijabat" which means the most forward command point from the battlefield; this could also explain the change from the original name Madytos.

Objectivos:

Programa do intercâmbio - ver no anexo

Every day there will be a cultural evening, which means that each country group will present its culture!
The presentations should not be “lectures” or an official advertisement of the country that you will present. Try to be creative and innovative, present your culture in an uncommon way which will attract the interest of the participants. Bring songs, stories, videos, food, drinks, games or anything which inspires you. The presentation should last minimum one hour which means that you have plenty of time to show the most
important aspects of your culture to the other participants (theatrical performance, dance, singing songs, showing movies or short films etc.) and you should be prepared before coming to the youth exchange.
You are also encouraged to bring some food or snacks typical of your country which will be hard to find here in Turkey!

Material Necessário: • Be prepared for the cultural evening before you come to the youth exchange where you will represent your country's culture e.g. music, a short description about the country, anecdotes, funny videos about the country etc. Please bring food and drinks typical of your country!!
• Each participating group should prepare some warm-up activities and energizers for the youth exchange.
• If you want to organize a free time activity and would like to show to and share with the other participants, you are welcome to do, but you have to let us know in advance!
