Resumo: Youth exchange “Don’t worry, be healthy” will be held in Rezekne from 4th till 13th June 2013.
This exchange aims to get participants familiar with the fact that sport makes a significant contribution to our wellbeing, playing also an important role in the development of ones personality but in the same time influencing development of the economy, environment and society in general.
Through this exchange we want to use sport and recreation as a tool for improvement of youth’s quality of live giving them the knowledge and tools that will raise their motivation,self-development, self-reliance, as sport has the power
to act as a mobilizing tool in a way that no other activities do.
Combining fun, enjoyment and physical challenges we
want to encourage young people to participate in sport activities in order to promote social interaction and well being.
This should lead to development and sustainability of a healthy lifestyle and a life long attitude in adulthood among
participants.

Exchange will last eight days.
First four days will be used, beside activities arranged for participants to get to know each other, to raise awareness of participants about healthy life styles, nutrition, mental relaxation, stress management and etc, combined with different sport activities every day.
Other part of the exchange will be mostly devoted to the preparation of the City Sport event, the final activity that will be performed in the Rezekne’s main park.

The main aim of this activity will be to inform local people, trough sports activities and different challenges, what was
the project about, what are the outcomes and why is it so important to develop and implement the healthy life styles
in everyone’s life.

Objectivos: On the basis that healthy lifestyle and regular sport activity can help us to find the right balance in life, "Don't worry, be healthy" is a Youth Exchange set in a way to teach young people simple yet effective healthy techniques to help them eliminate stress, depression and negative emotion from their lives.

Our aim is to make young people aware of the huge power and importance of their daily feelings, thoughts, energy and emotions.

Alojamento: The accommodation of the seminar will be in Adamovas ezers (Adamova's lake).
The rooms will be shared between 2-4 people.
FOOD: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be provided for you by the project.

APV: Boarding is provided from dinner on 04th May until breakfast on 06th May.
Exchange: Boarding is provided from dinner on 04th Jun until breakfast on 13th Jun.

Material Necessário: Latvian money is LAT (NOT EURO).
Please exchange your money at Riga airport after your arrival. You will have also chance to do it in Rezekne but note that it’s only possible to do it in Bank offices that work only till 5 pm.
In most of the establishments and shops, credit-cards Visa and MasterCard are accepted.

Average temperature in Latvia:
In May is 17°C (max.) and 5°C (min.). The nights will be still quite cold so please take your warm clothes with you.
In Jun is 22°C (max.) and 9°C (min.).
Warm clothes will also be a mandatory, especially for participants coming from southern countries.

1) Please prepare presentations in your national groups “Healthy lifestyles in my country”, each
country will have 15-20 minutes. You can use different methods and techniques, be creative!
2) Please prepare Language training and energizer for max 45 min for the morning sessions (each
day another country).
3) It would be useful for the activities if you would bring your video/photo cameras, laptops.
4) Please tell us if you have any special food needs (vegetarians, no pork, allergies etc.)
5) Please ask your group leader to collect all of the boarding passes from the group as soon as you
arrive at the airport, so that we can take them directly.
6) Each participant is asked to take some loose, comfortable clothes which may get dirty during
the workshops (theatre, paintings, etc.).

NOTE: It is possible to have some more request or program changing after APV.
INTERNATIONAL EVENING:
- Each organization is asked to bring some food or drink and other typical national staff for the
international evening.
- If you can, please bring your national music.
- We would also love to see some traditional dances or games.
As we are going to be near the lake please bring your swimming suits with you, we
hope to have some worm days so might be possible to swim. Also there’s a chance that
we’ll organize the sauna for one night so you’ll need it anyway.
