Resumo: The youth exchange is going to provide a Festival about Breakdance, Graffiti, DJing and B-boyng.
Alongside the group building activities, country presentations, excursions, meeting local volunteers, and more, each participant will get an opportunity to explore the common topic intensively through one of the following creative arts: Breakdance, Graffiti/Street Art and Music. This will be a true experience of “learning by doing”. Participants shall gain new knowledge on the topic of volunteerism and acquire or improve their skills on the topic of Breakdance, B-boyng, DJing and graffiti/art.
Throughout the project duration young people will participate in creative workshops, group building activities, country presentations, an excursion, group discussions, meeting local volunteers.
They will explore different techniques, new ways of expressing trough music and dancing. Participants will also spend a day with local volunteers, where they will have an opportunity to get to know more about Portugal voluntary work in practice.
Objectivos: The main objectives are:
- give youngsters the chance to know young people from other countries and cultures and find similarities and differences between them (history, religion, politics, culture, etc.);
- promote non-formal education as a tool to encourage the value and importance of volunteering as a form of active engagement and as a tool to develop;
- develop solidarity and promote tolerance among young people, in particular in order to foster social cohesion in the European Union;
- foster mutual understanding between young people in different countries;
- contribute to developing the quality of support systems for youth activities and the capabilities of civil society organisations in the youth field and promote European cooperation in the youth field;
- stimulating young people´s spirit of initiative; raising young people´s awareness and mobilization around global environmental challenges and cimate change.
